Salted Caramel Banana Bread

 
 

This upside down salted caramel banana cake is on another level of its own! It’s moist, sticky and delicious! You’ll enjoy every bite with a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients


3-4 bananas 150g of plain flour  70g of almond flour 2 1/2 tsp of baking powder 
1 tsp of baking soda 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar 
50g of maple syrup or agave 
100ml of almond milk if needed

For the banana caramel top: 80g salted butter 100g brown sugar 2 large bananas


Method


1.
Place butter and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until melted and combine.

2.
Place banana halves in the bottom of a cake tin lined with parchment paper. Cover with caramel.

3.
Mix together mashed banana, maple syrup/agave. Add baking powder, baking soda and apple cider vinegar.

4.
Add  flour, almond flour and mix. Add milk if dough it’s not wet enough.

5.
Add the mix over the banana caramel base.Bake at 180 for 30 min until the knife comes out clean. Leave cool completely.
