Banana & Chocolate French Toast

 
 

Banana & dark chocolate is one of my absolute favourites! French toast is a super easy yet incredibly delicious sweet option for breakfast or as a dessert. You can mix and match your toppings too.

Ingredients


2 slices of sourdough bread

1 egg

100ml of milk

1 tbsp of brown sugar

1 tsp of vanilla

1 tbsp of butter to fry

Toppings 

1/2 banana

2 tsp of sugar

Handful of chopped dark chocolate

2 tbsp of yoghurt 


Method


1.
Mix the egg, milk, vanilla and brown sugar. 

2.
Dip the sourdough in the mix until well covered. 

3.
Add the butter to a pan and melt, place the bread and fry both sides until golden.

4.
Slice the banana in half and then lengthwise, add the sugar on top of the centre and caramelise in a grill or using a blow torch.

5.
Serve your French toast with yoghurt, caramelised banana and dark chocolate.
