Bounty Bars

 
 

I’ve always had a craving for coconut treats and so just had to share how easy it is to get your fix! The best bit is all you need is five ingredients.

Ingredients


200g desiccated coconut
200g condensed milk
4 tbsp icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
300g milk chocolate, melted
Melted dark chocolate, to decorate


Method


1.
Mix together the desiccated coconut, condensed milk, icing sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Once combined, pour the mixture into a lined loaf tin and use the bottom of a glass to compress the mix into the pan. Pop in to the freezer to chill for 1 hour.

Turn out the frozen bounty mixture onto a chopping board and chop into 1 inch wide rectangles with a sharp knife.

Melt the milk chocolate in a large bowl. Dip each bar into the chocolate, using two forks to help you, then place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper to set. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate to decorate, then store in the fridge to firm up and enjoy for up to 10 days.
