Nut & Apple Christmas Tree
It’s that time of year again! If you’re looking for something super simple, delicious and a treat for the eyes - this tree will be your best friend around the holidays.

Ingredients
2 puff pastry sheets
1 grated apple
Nut butter
Handful of raisins
Handful of chopped almonds
Method
1.
Extend the first puff pastry sheet and spread nut butter to cover.
2.
Layer on top the grated apple, raisins and chopped almonds.
3.
Cover with the remaining puff pastry sheet.
4.
Cut in a tree shape and then cut horizontal lines in the dough on the left and right side, they should be about 2cm apart. Do not cut in the middle of the tree from the top to bottom.
5.
Twist each strip creating spirals. And use the remaining dough for the star using a cookie cutter.
6.
Brush with beaten egg.
7.
Bake for 25 min until golden, take out and sprinkle with icing sugar.
