Apple & Blackberry Crumble
The humble crumble is a British classic. This classic pudding is the perfect way to finish off a Sunday roast.

Ingredients
750g cooking apples
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
For the Topping:
150g rolled oats
100g plain flour
80g brown sugar
100g unsalted butter, cubed
To serve:
Ice cream or custard
Method

Preheat the oven to 160°c (fan assisted)/180°c/gas mark 4.

Peel, core and cut the apples into slices. Place them into a crumble dish and combine with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 20 minutes.

Whilst the apples are baking, you can make the topping. Place the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar and butter in a bowl. Rub together between your fingers and thumbs until the mixture is combined and the consistency of large bread crumbs.

Tip the blackberries into baking dish with the apples and combine with a wooden spoon. Cover the fruit with the crumble topping, then bake for 45-55 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve with ice cream or custard.
