Autumn Porridge

 
 

On colder mornings, porridge cravings kick right in don’t they! This one’s perfect to warm up, with a creamy base yet spicy and perfectly paired with stewed apples, peanut butter, blueberries and seeds.

Ingredients


For the porridge
50-70g of porridge oats
Handful of sultanas
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ground ginger
200-300 ml milk
½ tbsp chia seeds

For the apples
1 apple in wedges
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp maple syrup
1-2 tbsp water

Other toppings: Granola, pumpkin seeds, blueberries, peanut butter


Method


1.
Mix all the ingredients of the porridge in a pot and cook for 8-10 min until creamy (keep adding milk depending on how thick you want it).

2.
In another pot add all the ingredients for the stewed apples, cook on medium heat for 10 minutes until the apple softens and you get a sticky sauce. Feel free to add more water if you feel you need it.

3.
Serve porridge in a bowl with your stewed apples and the rest of toppings.
