Cacao Granola

 
 

If you’re looking for something to help you get out of bed on these dark and dreary winter mornings, this cacao granola is it! Packed full of plant points, antioxidants and fibre, it’s perfect sprinkled over yoghurt, porridge or with your favourite milk.

Ingredients


100g of 100% solid cacao

100-300ml almond milk

3 tbsp of maple syrup (optional)

Pinch of sea salt

250g oats

50g seeds

50g shaved almonds

40g desiccated coconut


Method


1.

Add cacao and 100ml of almond milk to a pot. At low heat, let the cacao melt and stir while doing, keep adding almond milk until a thick but runny sauce it’s formed.

Add maple syrup and sea salt

Mix oats, seeds, coconut and nuts.

4.

Add the chocolate sauce to the oats and mix until well combined.

5.

Layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (in a thin layer), and bring to the oven at 160C for about 20 min, stir.

6.

Put back in the oven for extra 10-15 min or until it starts to feel crunchy and looks golden, remember that it will continue to get crunchier outside the oven.
