Fig & Chocolate Porridge
One of my favourite ingredients is figs, so I love to make this recipe. Not forgetting the fact this bowl has dark chocolate and almond butter, a double whammy of deliciousness and can be whipped up in no time!

Ingredients
45g oats
250ml milk
2 squares of dark chocolate, melted
1 heaped tbsp almond butter
1 fig, sliced
Optional: a sprinkle of granola, or any of your favourite crunchy toppers
Method
1.
Combine the oats and milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, then stir regularly until the porridge reaches your desired consistency.

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a small bowl on your microwaves lowest setting, stirring every 20 seconds to avoid it burning.
3.
Pour the porridge out into a bowl and top with the melted dark chocolate, almond butter and sliced fig. Sprinkle over a little granola (or something else crunchy!), then enjoy immediately.
